Exclusion Schemes: reducing high street crime and anti-social behaviour. Leeds & North

The theme of this year’s Partnerships Against Crime Leeds conference on 6 December 2012, sponsored by CRP News, is Exclusion Schemes: reducing high street crime and anti-social behaviour. The venue for the conference will be the Hilton Hotel in Leeds city centre.

Exclusion schemes – ranging from pub-watches to fully-fledged Business Crime Reduction Partnerships – are a tried and tested method of improving the safety and security of high streets and other commercial areas. In doing so they can create a commercial environment in which businesses can thrive and local communities can once more feel safe to enjoy their local retail and night-time economy.

Each conference, chaired by the editor of CRP News, follows the same theme with a combination of industry speakers, and with speakers with local and regional practical experience. The events aim to help delegates plan their new partnerships or make existing crime reduction partnerships more effective. Each conference also features a presentaton on different aspects of crime prevention in the future.

The cost of a delegate place at these one-day conferences, including Delegate Pack, and refreshments throughout the day, has been heavily subsidised and is just £45 per delegate for all bookings before October 15, after which the full rate of £55 applies.
