Name-and-Shame poster displayed four months after expiry of Asbo

An error by an advertising contractor led to an Asbo recipient in Bridlington being 'named and shamed' for more than four months after his punishment was supposed to have finished - despite repeated requests by the Asbo's father.

In October 2006 Jason Colley was given a 14-month anti-social behaviour order banning him from licensed premises or drinking alcohol in public places in Bridlington. The order expired on July 10. But four months later his face and name continued to be displayed on a 'name and shame' poster in the town.

To make matters worse, his father complained about the poster still being on display in September, two months after it should have been taken down. "It was taken down but then the other week it went back up again. I couldn't believe it," he told the local newspaper..
