New BusinessWatch scheme for Gloucester

Businesses in the Bristol Road area of Gloucester are joining forces with the police in a new initiative to beat crime.

In recent months the area has been hit by high levels of crime, including raids by thieves who have knocked through walls of empty premises at night to steal from adjoining companies.

Now the Canal Corridor Partnership, in conjunction with the police, has launched the county’s first Business Watch scheme. It will initially cover the industrial areas along Bristol Road between Tuffley Lane and Cole Avenue which have been recent targets for crime.
