New 'Lite' Intranet for cash-strapped Crime Reduction Partnerships

A new low-cost version of BCRP Intranet, used by leading Crime Reduction Partnerships, has been launched by Littoralis. The new product, BCRP IntranetLITE, is priced at £650.

BCRP IntranetLITE delivers the three key functions of the full version - mugshot publishing management, online incident reporting and membership communication tools - but does not include the document management functions or the same level of customisation available with the full BCRP Intranet product. Training for BCRP IntranetLITE is delivered online, not face-to-face. 

Whereas BCRP Intranet is priced at £2,500 for installation and £100 a month for licence, support and hosting, the LITE version is £650 for installation and £50 a month for software license, support and hosting.

"We have launched BCRP IntranetLITE for two reasons" explains Littoralis' director David Plattten. "Some Partnerships have their own well-established paper-based document and membership management systems and want to stick with them. So we have taken those functions out of the LITE version. Plus, of course, Partnerships are as strapped for cash as anyone else these days - if not more so - so bringing the price down should help more of them to adopt the BCRP Intranet product.

"We have been able to reduce the installation price by focussing on the key functions of BCRP Intranet, by delivering training online, and by providing less comprehensive customisation.  For example, the full BCRP Intranet product provides Partnerships with their own website under their own domain, as well as the Intranet;  BCRP IntranetLITE provides Partnerships with a homepage and intranet, but under the Littoralis domain."

In the last four weeks Littoralis has announced sales of BCRP Intranet to four new partnerships:  Taunton Retailers Against Crime, Eastbourne Business Crime Group, Lewisham Borough Business Against Crime and Croydon Business Crime Reduction Partnership.
