UK's under-15s are Europe's heaviest drinkers, and rank high for drug and tobacco use too

Whether its without their parents' permission, or without it - or unknown to their parents - UK's children drink, smoke and take more drugs than kids from any others developed country.

The chief medical officer Liam Donaldson  recommends that no young person under the age of 15 should drink at all. He says parents should set their children a good example and 15-to 17-year-olds should be allowed to drink only under parental supervision.
