Gun analysis refutes popular myths
Police acknowledge that the true number of guns out on streets is almost impossible to assess. But new analysis shows there might be far fewer than popularly assumed.
Forensic evidence proves that one gun seized in November, was responsible for 8 of the 84 shootings that were reported on Merseyside last year. Local police say the evidence refutes the popular myth that Merseyside is flooded with illegal guns.
