Policing & crime commissioners: who is running and where
The first elections for PCCs will take place on the 15th November 2012. You will be interested to know who has declared an interest in standing for election in various police force areas. PCCs will have an important role in delivering local policing and listening to the local community through individual and organisational representatives, including Business Crime Reduction Partnerships, in order to deliver that policy.
The Association of Business Crime Partnerships (ABCP) is working, nationally, with the National Retail Crime Steering Group (NRCSG) to ensure that all candidates are aware of the importance of business crime and the need to include it in the local policing strategy if they are elected. You may however want the opportunity to make contact with your local candidates to reinforce the message. If, as is expected, the turnout of voters is low, candidates will want to take every opportunity to introduce themselves and canvas accordingly. Click here for the full list.
