INTERNATIONAL: MALAYSIA Fighting crime on all fronts
The second phase of Reducing Crime National Key Results Area (NKRA) will see the expansion of several initiatives that place more of an emphasis on the victims of crime while at the same time, maintaining the primary focus of addressing the "opportunity" element in the crime life cycle.
The Reducing Crime NKRA has distinguished three goals, which are: maintaining the reduction of overall crime rates; significantly improving the perception of public safety; and committing change and constructing a performance-driven culture. Through a total of 35 initiatives, the programme aims to create a safer Malaysia and accomplish the key results by 2015. Find out more on these initiatives from AsiaOne.com, here
